when i turn on my computer it says that i am out of memory and it is running really slow.

To clear up memory, stop running so many programs at the same time. Delete some auto starting programs out of the startup folder in the start menu. also, you can go to run and type msconfig. then go to the startup tab and un check the programs you don't need running in the background. Otherwise, go buy some more memory.

There are some programs that do that by dumping memory on the HDD. I don't recommend it.

You don't say how much you have. you need at least 512mb for Windows XP to run smoothly otherwise paging will show your computer down to a crawl.

When you restart your computer it cleans you RAM.
