An autopsy was performed Monday. On Tuesday, Her Majesty's Coroner Linda P. Virgill said that based on preliminary findings, "the cause of death is not natural." But, she said, "we wish to reserve [announcing] the cause of death at this time," adding that a toxicology results and a full autopsy report will be released by the end of the week.
Virgill said an inquest will take place afterward and her staff will interview all "relevant witnesses," including Anna Nicole Smith, hospital workers and flight attendants, to develop an official timeline.
The coroner's statements came in the wake of a story in the Nassau Guardian that Daniel Smith suffered a "massive heart attack" and that antidepressants had been found in his system. The newspaper said that Daniel was seen "vomiting uncontrollably" shortly before his death.
Police on Tuesday sought to downplay the Guardian report.

Anna Nicole Smith's son, 20, dies in Bahamas
NASSAU, Bahamas -- The 20-year-old son of Anna Nicole Smith has been found dead in the Bahamas, where the former reality TV star and Playboy playmate gave birth to a baby girl days earlier.
Authorities had not determined what caused the death of Daniel Wayne Smith, whose body was found Sunday morning, said Robin Bonnema, a spokeswoman for Trimspa, the diet products company that has been endorsed by Smith. Bonnema had no other details, and calls to Smith's lawyer, Howard K. Stern of Santa Monica, Calif., were not immediately returned.
Bonnema declined to provide details, saying only that Smith died "in his bed.''
A statement on Smith's Web site said the son died suddenly.
"We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor,'' the statement said. "Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being.''
Walter Evans, a spokesman for the Royal Bahamian Police Force, would say only that the son of an undisclosed celebrity had been found in a room of the private Doctor's Hospital in Nassau.
Anna Nicole Smith, 38, gave birth to a healthy 6 pound, 9 ounce girl at the hospital on Thursday, her Web site said.
Her son had traveled to the Caribbean country ``to share in the joy of his baby sister,'' the statement said. "Please do not make any press inquiries at this time so that Anna Nicole can grieve in peace.''
Smith married Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II in 1994, when she was 26 and he was 89. He died the following year. In March, the Supreme Court upheld Smith's right to a bequeathment of $474 million, though legal battles with Marshall's son, Pierce Marshall, have continued.
Daniel Smith had small roles in her movies "Skyscraper'' and ``To the Limit.'' He also appeared several times on the E! reality series "The Anna Nicole Show.''
Bonnema said she did not know the name of Daniel Smith's father or that of the baby girl.

He died from an overdose of anti-depressants!
The son of Anna Nicole Smith may have died after unwittingly overdosing on anti-depressants - the same drug his mother was famously addicted to.
Daniel Wayne Smith, 20, was found dead by the former model in her room at a hospital in the Bahamas, just three days after she gave birth to a daughter.
Police say they have yet to receive the results of an autopsy, but according to local reports, sources close to the investigation claim Mr Smith was on anti-depressants and that there are indications he overdosed on the drug.
It comes amid reports that the hospital room was "splattered" with blood and vomit as doctors arrived to try to help him at the private Doctors Hospital in Nassau.
According to a local media report, sources have said that "various medications along with drugs" were found in his system.
The source said: "All we know right now is that he was on anti-depressants. Some things indicate that he probably overdosed on those drugs."
Other anonymous sources also claimed that Mr Smith was "vomiting uncontrollably" shortly before collapsing and dying, and that the hospital room was a "total mess" with blood and vomit splattered everywhere.
The hospital source told a local paper that Anna Nicole Smith went into a "violent rage" as she helplessly tried to revive her son.
It is also claimed that she fought with doctors in the room to try to get close to his lifeless body.
Meanwhile, some light has been cast on the 38-year-old's mysterious decision to have the baby in a private hospital in the Bahamas.
According to Prime Minister Perry Christie, Smith was recently granted permanent residency in the Caribbean nation, while local reports also claim she has bought a home in one of the high-end areas of Nassau, in the island of New Providence.
It has led to speculation that she was looking to start a new life in the island and raise her new child there. The baby, whose name has not been revealed, is her first daughter and the identity of the father is not yet known.
Reginald Ferguson, Assistant Commissioner of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, denied the allegations that the room was covered with blood and vomit, saying that the detail would have been included in the police report - which simply stated that Mr Smith was found unconscious in a chair in the room.
He also said that there had been no indication of drugs at this stage - but refused to rule anything out until the autopsy report is completed. It was originally due to be received this week.
Nicole Smith has fought a long running battle against anti-depressants and other drugs. Books have detailed how she took combinations of drugs, which caused violent mood swings.

No one knows yet. I'm sure we will find out sooner or later. They asked the press not to make inquiries so she can grieve in peace. Her attorney also said they don't believe it has anything to do with drugs or alcohol. Either way it is very sad.

After a long and hard mantra with the spirits beyond I have determined that he had died from a massive heart attack after he tried to imitate his mothers moves in the bed room with three women. My sources say he was very happy!
