Gnats or Fruit Flys..... Take away all food sources, use anti-bacteria spray on surfaces....KEEP FOOD SEALED!!!

Yuk!! Get rid of all the food, then spray Raid in the room, with the window and door shut and leave for about an hour. Then wipe down all the surfaces and leave the window open for a bit. They should die eventually after being sprayed!

If this doesn't work, get a lavender scented candle, light it in the kitchen and leave the window open. Flies hate the smell of lavender, this might make them all fly out the open window! Good luck!

Here is what to do. Raid won't necessarily get them - you have to starve them. So clean the area up with all foods put away. Then wipe everything down with chlorox cleanup. It might take an hour or so, but the little buggers will seek a food and water source somewhere else. It might be a good idea to get rid of any trash in the can at this point or they will go there first.

They are called "Drusilia" or fruit flies. They tend to hang around fruit bowls where there is a piece of overipe fruit.

They are the simplest of fly and because of that breed like hell. They die quickly due to their simplicity but a great way to get rid of them is using Anti-bacterial surface cleaner all over the work tops, most of these cleaners contain traces of formaldihide (even kills Ant's). Put a net over the fruit bowl and they will eventually die off.

clean the whole area with bleach (or whatever you use as an antibacterial cleaner)

you can sit out a citronella candle before you clean to drive them away

they will come back if there is anything they can scavenge
