JoBu was inspired by Grandpa JoBu, who had the heart of a Saint, and taught me the virtues I live with today. He also was one heck of a craftsman in the voodoo trade.

I am inspired by my parents. They have been married for 47 years and still very much in love. My Dad has Parkinson's disease and my Mom helps him get dressed every day and cares for him very well. She doesn't ever complain. She is only thankful that he is still with us and she cherishes the opportunity to care for him.

Hello JoBu,

I would have to say my mother is a true inspiration to me. She fell in love with her high school sweet heart. She had her first child at 17 and yet another at 18. She got married at 19 or 20, and then had me at 23. She is a hard worker, she has worked very hard for ever thing she has and has worked even harder to keep us kids in line.

I love my mother very much, thank you for asking this great question.
