Yes as we did with Gulf War Syndrome Vets, It's a fvcking disgrace, regardless of political affiliation these heros deserve to be taken care of instead of having "doors slammed" in their faces.

No

They all had OSHA 40 hour safety training. As per 29 CFR 119.120 They chose to not follow safe work practices.

In this case the liability rolls uphill the employer and site incident commander is responsible for the safety of all personal on site.

A secure site would have no unauthorized people on site.

As for who is responsible the apples do not fall far from the tree. A Supreme Court ruling states that the person closets to the work is the person of primary responsibility. That gives the Corporations a way out when people are injured on a job.

I know we heard about the illnesses the first resp would be facing, about one week after the planes hit us. The news and Red Cross informed us about what long term illnesses they would face on about day 7; yet the responders kept responding. They are the soul and divintiy of what hero's, are.

As for profit being all that America is about, no;
we are about being with one another and standing living and dying with one another. Some big large corparations are about profit, and thats ok, thats the thing about bieng a capatilist country. We encourage competition and salesmanship because the other chioces of socialism and dictorship, are unthinkable.

We, in America have a a huge heart with a soul as well; at times it gets lost in capalitsm, and at times it gets found. we need to keep on searching, and not loosing it so much.

Where are your facts coming from.
I sure those initial responders, Police, Ambulance, Rescue, Firefighters and others who are employed by the State would have Worker's compensation to draw from now and later when the effects of the toxic "stew" becomes evident.

It is very sad that so many heroes are now suffering with terrible disabilities due to the 9/11 attacks. I believe that they are taken care of by their departments as far as long term disabilities are concerned but I agree that we forget about those people sometimes. It's the same thing with so many of our young soldiers who are coming back from the war without arms, legs and many other traumas not to mention PTSD.post traumatic stress disorder. We should take better care of our heroes.

true,The response is Bush at his worse.

Just be sure to thank Wayne Johson aka Shiraz aka
today's 4th Jim W Level 1.

Someone that fixated on loving Bush and calling strange men "gay" and having NO solutions excepting impersonating people and smearing is part of the right-wing nutjob machine that put Bush in office.

5 years later.and the conservatives are more vulgar than ever.

i agree with you. It has been years since I have flown ( at least 19) and so, there was not that much in the way of eateries/time consuming stuff to do. I dont think i will fly any time soon, and it scares me to think of AMERICA doing this to its own. makes me wonder why we are called a "civilized" nation.

Maybe someday there will be vigorous debate about raising the actual number of "victims" on 9/11.
