put them in order from cheapest to most expensive in use.

Right now use wood as any steel will be costly due to inflated market prices.
1-steel
2-chromed steel
3-then aluminium

depends on how you build it. if you weld, steel is vastly easier and cheaper, heat messes up chrome
check the prices where you get your materials from.

aluminum is probably higher than steel, chrome probably the highest but your location may change that.

steel, then aluminum, then stainless steel, then chrome I'd guess.
