i'm a freshman in college finishing my first semester in December. i'm planning on taking spring, summer, and fall classes next year and the year after, adding up to 8 semesters over a 2 1/2 year period. i've always heard it takes 4, but i didn't know for sure if it was mandatory.

You might do it in Three years....I think two and 1/2 years is cutting it short

The problem is not whether you can do it, it is whether the University will offer all the classes you need in that time period. Some classes are required to be taken in sequencial order and may not be offered when you need them. That is why my 4 year degree is taking 5! It sucks, but it also depends on the college you go to. Talk with an advisor and see what you can do.

P.S. Summer courses are usually basic courses, so upper division classes usually aren't offered then. That ;s just my experience.

Good Luck if you can do it though!!

Theoretically it is possible, but it might be difficult only because the summer semester tends to have fewer courses offered and you might not be able to find all your required classes. Check with your advisor at school.
