My flag is half mast for now. At noon (my time) I'm raising it full staff. Its my way of saying, "yes we took a hit, but we're still standing and not going down". I'm raising for those who are fighting for us now. I'm thanking all those I know that are in the military for their hard work and dedication. My 7 children and I will be sending letters to soldiers thru the website, mysoldier.com. Prayers for the families of those who lost loved ones from 9/11 to date due because of the terrorists. There's posters you can buy, I'm buying some for the families that aren't able to buy one, as a donation. As with any other day, I'm remembering that we're one nation. Keeping in mind that we're Americans, no matter our race. The one race we all have in common, is we are all the Human Race. God bless our soldiers and God bless America

My flag is flying at half mast. I have a candle lit. I have watched the memorials. I have prayed. Also, my son turned 25 today so we went out for lunch. But for the last 5 years it has been bittersweet. 1/2 of us is happy that he has a birthday but the other 1/2 cries in what happened 4 years ago.

It is sad....but its still scary to me.
Its like, you dwell on it and be sad or you prepare for it to happen again, because it very well could.
I am recognizing today by being in class all day, going home and making dinner for my fiance, and watching TV. And of course I will think about the tragedies that happened...and the people and families who lost lives. But i'm more worried about the future.

My dog is ticked off too.
We rented United 93 and it made me cry... then we published out "We remember September 11, 2001" on all of our websites, and now I'm finding myself watching the ENTIRE live cerimony on ABC.
I get angry and stuff but mostly, I can't understand so much hate, and it makes me really sad when I think about it.

I agree with you very much, lots of people lost their lives that tradgic day. And now our troops are trying to save our lives over in Iraq. There should be some kind of settle agreement between the two, so that the troops could come home and be with their friends and families. My husband served in the army for 5 years, and I know if he was their, I would be wanting him to come home to me and his daughter. Pray for them!!

I recognize 9/11 everyday. I have never forgotten it or the effect it has had on my life. I lost many co-workers that day, they were Flight Crew Members. I will never forget.

I'm trying to watch my tv shows but they keep interupting it with that 9 11 stuff, so I turned off my tv as I am tired of hearing the same stuff over and over again. That was 5 years ago, let's go on

a moment of silence at the times the planes hit, and still reliving in my mind the horror of watching it 5 years ago actually happening.
