I remember sitting in my chemistry class at my desk when a guy I knew from grade school came in and said that the twin towers had been hit. The chemistry teacher turned on the tv and we watched it the whole period and most of my teachers had a tv or the radio on. I was in driver's ed that year and I went out driving that day and the behind the wheel teacher had on an am station with coverage of what was happening. I don't care about all of the coverage that the news channels have on today because it doesn't affect me right now just like Hurricane Katrina stuff.

It means that the whole world was put on notice on that date, by the most stunning and heinous event since WW II, that decent people everywhere, who mean no harm to others, must from that date on watch for the predators, the random killers, who have no moral restraint and no human compassion, and find forceful ways to prevent them from carrying out their fanatic intentions. Otherwise, the world, not just the US, will descend into an era where barbarism will rule over decency, and many centuries of civilized behavior will be erased forever.

It means that there are a LOT of questions - like, why did Bush have the ONLY plane flying in the US, taking Bin Ladens relatives OUT of the US?
Why didnt the air traffic controllers, seeing all these huge aircraft flying the wrong way, do anything?
why why why, what what what....
who knows

I remember my friend phoned me at home and said put the TV on. The first plane had hit and we thought it was a tragic accident then we all watched as the second one hit. I remember thinking OMG!!! The realisation that it was a terrorist attack. May all the victims rest in peace and the terrorists burn in hell.

I was at Fort Hood, it was my daughters 3rd birthday. Today she turns 8. I feel deep sympathy for all of those who were affected by this horrible tragedy. I wish all the families well.
