When the first one hit, I thought that it was a private pilot going off course or something... an accident.
When the second hit, we were under attack.

When I saw the planes on my television set, I couldn't hardly believe my eyes. It was like a nightmare. There is no way in my wildest imagination that I could hate anyone or any country to that extent. I would let go and let God. The affair with the towers was the worst thing in my life and it impacted millions on a deeply personal level. I did not lose anyone in those towers but they were fellow Americans. It still touched me. Now, more than ever, I treat every day as though it were my very last. I treat everything that God has made with the most intense respect. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

At first shock, then sadness, and then a calmness that I feel when it is time for payback. I look at the tributes yesterday and today and I would love to hunt down anyone who had anything to do with the attacks that day. There is no mercy in my heart for those crimanals. If you think America deserved this then you donot belong in America or anywhere else the people from 86 countries that were in the twin towers were from.

When I first came out of my bedroom and saw the tower billowing smoke on the TV (as I had no classes that day) I thought it was a movie.
When I found found out that it was real and that the Pentagon was also under attack I was scared because I thought we were being taken over or something. Of course at that point I had no clue what was going on or who was responsible. Next few days I just felt kinda numb.
For a while I jumped whenever I heard an airplaine going over my school, as they were approching the airport to land.
Eventually everything pretty much got back to normal.
Edit:
What's with the thumbs down? Did I say something wrong?

When the first one hit I thought it was an accident..a horrible plane crash..but when the second one hit i realized what was happening..at first I felt a little scared because I didn't know if it was over yet...who knew if L.A., Chicago,or some other city would be next...That quickly turned to anger and immense sadness and the wanting for revenge....
My feelings really haven't changed I am still angry and I still mourn for our lost and I still want those inhuman bastards to pay for what they have done.

That our planes should have been in the air within 30 minutes maximum, headed to make a giant parking lot out of someplace in the Middle East.

Shock, but I also felt an actual physical blow to my chest. I suppose that's a symptom of shock, but I honestly felt like I'd been punched in the chest. I remember an overwhelming sense of horror and thinking, "why won't they stop?"

It took awhile to realize what horror was happening before my eyes, most of those few minutes I can't remember what or if I was even thinking anything. I do remember crying so hard though.

I could not feel any thing in the first few moments due to the shock, and that something like that was happening right here in the U.S.
