Stand in the shower with the hottest water you can bear, adjust the shower if you can to the gentlest spray, let the hot water spray continuously over your head with your eyes closed, move a little so that the cascades and waves slide this way and that way across your scalp. Keep it up. Relax deeper and keep the cascades tumbling off your scalp this way and that way. Take big breaths. You should start feeling these wonderful near-orgasmic electrical impulses crawling over your head and scalp and eventually over your entire body. Keep quiet. Let the hot cascades continue to "flush" these electrical waves from your body. You'll know right away what I'm describing. Don't stop until you run out of hot water. But, don't let the water get cool before you stop. Notice afterwards how losing that pent-up electrical debris makes you look ten years younger. Get a drink of milk or juice. Go to bed and sleep.

Well, that must mean you weren't tired enough to go to sleep. If you still want to try going to bed early, listen to some music during the first half hour. I find that it relaxes my body and mind so that I'm more ready to sleep. I also choose to go to bed early, and that gives me some extra time to listen to music.

Just try to stop thinking so much when you go to bed at night. I will sometimes just lay there awake thinking "why cant I fall asleep?" Sometimes I take some advil before I go to bed to help relax my mind and my muscles.
