I feel that we get our forces active only when we get a threat...whereas I think we should always be on the alaert...the kind of changes they made in the security, after the bomb threats last month, should have been made long back...and i am sure that the security check will go down after a couple of months till we get a new threat...it should be practised on a daily basis rather than just beef up security when a threat is made...
I personally feel that Bush does not make very good decisions when it comes to the international relations or even connecting to US people...

I do not believe that any government can 100% protect every citizen when there are unknown extremists (foreigners AND homegrown) who want to kill Americans here and overseas. Therefore, I will do what I have to to protect myself from these idiots the best I can. I would like to see Americans using less gas to keep money from flowing to countries controlled bydictators who make up OPEC and whose citizens suport extremists financially. You can call it a boycott if you want, but I use a little gasoline as possible as difficult as it may be. I also believe that these extremists will not change and can never be pacified. You can not change somebody and if you believe you can ask anybody who got married believing that their spouse would change after the ceremony. We will never change the hearts and minds of extremists. This is my opinion based on my experiences and what others with more wisdom told me prior to me learning the hard way. I believe that the ACLU does not make me feel safer. I believe Democrats think terrorism is a law and order problem and Dems think terrorists will negotiate. John Kerry has stated that terrorism is a law and order when he ran against Bush. Madiline Albright said Bush was holding Osama Bib Ladin and would release him right before the 2004 elections. I am disabled and watch the news, play chess and read the news on the internet to keep informed the best I can.

I do feel safer they are dealing with terrorism as the real threat that it is. I am glad President Bush is in office at this difficult time in our nation. What absolutely boggles my mind is the attitude of some people when they are delayed at the airports. How soon they forget 9/11.

I don't feel that much more secure to be honet -yes the airport seems safer, but is it really. They have said it several times it will be when we least expect it, and from who we least expect it I don't know what Bush is doing - but I have never been over seas. My sons father has been twice now, and he said that we are doing a lot over there. I just hope that someday we can all live a little more comfortable.

Personally, I think Bush is the best, most loyal president we've had in decades. I really don't think things would be a bit safer if someone else was in office.

I wasn't surprised when 9/11 happened. I figured a terrorist attack on a large scale would happen eventually before then. You can add all the security and precautions avaliable, but it still doesn't stop crazy fanatics from killing people if they are motivated enough. To be honest I am more scared of common everyday criminals than I am of terrorists. You are a lot more likely to get killed at an ATM for your money, than you are by terrorists.

I didn't vote for him either, but I didn't care at the time because I never thought he could be so bad.
Now, I don't like him too much as president.
I feel about as safe. There were always crazies. It's just that thinking of 9/11 makes me dreadfully sad inside.
