Red earred Slider has small foam like floating on edges of water and aqarium.Is this a problem?

I clean the water every 3 days and have a good filter. Looks like very small foam bubbles.

Proteins in the water make a foam. Try this:

1. big tank- is the tank big enough? Look for about 10 gallons of swimming space per inch of turtle.

2. big filtration- 'a' filter is usually not enough with turtles- they are very messy animals and need about 50-100% more filtration than fish do, AND still need frequent water changes.

3. diet- take out uneaten food after about 15-60 minutes so it does not contribute to the problem. (The more the food breaks down, the faster you get it out of there.)

4. add other cleaning agents- catfish, live plants, snails, etc.- understanding that the turtle may eat or harrass them
