My oil pressure is fine under 2500 rpm and over 5500rpm, no pressure on the gauge between? I

the engine in the Capri is know for pumping all the oil to yhe top of the engine at high RPM operation

This is quite likely to be a problem with the gauge or the sending unit.

Start by replacing the sending unit. 90% of the time that's the problem.

i had that happen to one of my car and it turned out to be the Oil Sending unit or it could be your gauge..
