My other question is, what happens when they get their period, do they take out the ring or just leave it there? Coz that's gross.

Eww, yuck, gross, It is the sign of the times another fad people are going through that I really do not find appealing please ladies leave yourselves alone your body is fine without. Do we have to pass this off one generation to another. Pleaase

its not for me but each person has theyre own reasons i guess
some for the look of it
sensation of it
because they like the feeling of being pierced
because it makes them feel more them
they feel it expresses themselves
i really wouldnt listen to the charming gentleman who said that only women who have slept around peirce their genitals. He has obviously had some bad experiences with women (rejection probably) and we should feel sympathy for him...... at the same time as ignoring him
some piercings would not be anywhere near where blood actually is released during your period.
some are but ive been told it doesnt really get in the way

Because it is a form of personal expression, people like to decorate their bodies. Personally I would never reccomend a piercing in that area, I have seen some really nasty infections because people cannot keep them clean while they heal.

I have the tip of my penis pierced (prince Albert) and I love it! It feels great for both parties. It's a lot of fun for her to play with too. I highly recommend it to everyone. Just gotta pee sitting down.

OUCH!!! I'm not sure i would ever get that done and i guess the girls who do like the way it makes them feel.. Thats why i have a husband so he can do that for me and for them having there period while they are pierced i have nooooooooo idea !!!!
