I'm 19 and am frustrated with the programming options for my age group. I usually watch TV Land or something like HGTV or Food Network. When you think about it my age group doesn't really have a channel that caters to us. I know there's MTV, but let's face it that channel just plays terrible reality shows that portray us like mindles idots. Eg. Laguna Beach, Road Rules, and Next. I really feel that this age group needs a channel just for us. I hate how they just throw us into the adult age group and expect us to relate to shows about marriage and family. What we need is something we can relate to! Who's with me?

I see what some of you mean about this age group doing different things in their lives. That's why this channel could be so unique. I could feature shows that cater to everyone. Some about students in college, some about people that are married with children, and others kind of inbetween.

Everyone could find something they like.

Maybe you are not the average 18-24 year old viewer. Channels like MTV are programmed for that particular age group, and doing well. That means the majority of 18-24 year olds are watching, and liking MTV. I agree with you that MTV has nothing but mindless dribble on it, but it sells. I also must admit that I watch it occasionally. Sorry for your frustration, but you can't change the world.

While I agree with you that television programming views 19-20 as 18-45, I think that you are a little over the top in lumping everyone in this age group into one single group.

I think more than any other time in your life, the time from after high school till about 25 has the most variation in where the members are in life. Some choose to get married and start a family, some to college, some straight to work. Some of this group are still immature enough to enjoy shows like Laguna Beach, some are content with CNN etc. I think that any channel focusing on this group would find themselves horrendously underwatched because the needs of this group are far too varied.

What sort of shows would you like to see on this channel?

Some of us in that age group are adults... and prefer shows that relate to where we are n our lives... such as marriage and family issues etc.

I am not disputing that this does not suit everyone... but there isn't a station out there that could cater to one single person. We have satellite and have 1000 channels or more... and still don't view only one network.

best of luck

Sigh...I'm old enough to remember when MTV actually played videos all day and nothing else. I'm also old enough to remember shows like Melrose Place. I liked Sex and the City. That show is still on. But there aren't any shows geared to your age group anymore.

IM WITH YOU!!! lol
I dont know what to tell yah. Im 19 too. MTV sucks. I dont even bother to go there. And shows about family cooking and babies and blah blah blah bores me. But no one cares about this age group. Adults create shows, so adults think that we are too preoccupied with partying and f*ckin to even watch tv. Well thats what I think anyway.

I sure do. Maybe then they can put good music on MTV instead of all that Rap and reality shows. MTV just isn't what it used to be at all.

I think there should be. It should all be shows with boys in that age group in underwear, or speedos. Running, and everything bouncing around. Yumm
