it just happens i have found some girls to start a band we all into metal and hard rock .. but would people take us seriosly?
any good ideas for band names???

noggenache is a great name. One of my friends came up with that one. Like a head ache, but noggen. If you guys can play well and come up with some good lyrics and some beats people can mosh to, there is no problem. Don't try to hard to be hardcore. Just be you.

There are plenty of excellent women metal bands. From the early great Hearts to Sahara Hot Nights. People will take you seriously. When choosing a name, focus in word that represent what you are as a group. Your music will make the name and give it a meaning.

I use to say that men and women are different, but the important thing is differences mean nothing. Don't worry if you are all girls, all of us are hu-man, and that means nothing. Are you good enough to deserve my interest? That's what really mean! Be good performers whatever your gender, just that and no more. But don't brag of your condition, that looks awful.
About the name, here in Spain there is a good band formed by three girls and a man (he is the bass player) which name is "Ella baila sola", in English "She dances alone", this seems to be a good name, they are very famous. Think different than other groups, and you will get it.

GO GIRL!!!!! Ever heard of L-7? They were an all female metal group in the 80's . They were taken seriously enough to be signed and have a couple of good albums released. I need to find a new copy of Bricks Are Heavy since my ex wouldn't let me keep his.

As long as you present yourselves seriously, you'll be taken seriously. This world needs more chick rockers! There's many great female-fronted hard rock bands (The Gathering, Within Temptation, Evanescence to name a few) that are quite highly respected.

Yes, it is feminist. Prior to feminism everyone knew that men and women divided life between the public sphere and the private sphere. Men worked the public sphere and women were in charge of the private sphere, home, families, kitchens, children. A girl band is loud and in everyone's face in the public sphere, the arena of life that only a feminist would want women to enter. A girl band is an insistant, in your face, assertion of feminist female presence. And no, I wouldn't take you seriously.

u should make it to where the name represents somthing. like where u all met, or something u have in common. but, if u like a good all girl rock band, u should listen to a band from oregon by the name of 'sleater kinney'. they ******* rock. whatever u do, avoid the donnas. they suck

As long as you write good music, of course they would take you seriously. Look at Kittie, good music, plus they are good looking. What else could a metal head ask for!? As for names I like Betrayal of Innocence.

i think if u want people take u seriously you musnt emphasize that u re all girl..it sounds like 'we need care' ! because by doin this u accept that girls makin metal music is not a normal situation and need special attention..
