I was channel surfing for weather on TV and saw CSPAN airing at the bottom of their 9/11 anniversary coverage a poll of phone numbers to call in on whether you support Bush, Democrats or "other" political parties/agendas. Now, I'm not saying here that Bush is right or wrong or trying to start a political conversation or whatever... I just think this is ironic when the theme or "moral of the story" for 9/11 was "United We Stand." Thoughts?

I believe there is a time and place for political opinion polls, and a 9/11 memorial is not the time nor place.

Its the perfect politcal angle to get a feeling for the climate of the population. People's emotions are tender on a day like today and the poll takes the true feelings of society. On 9/11, the country supported President Bush... today most of us feel differently.

C-Span has the only unbiased coverage of Washington D.C. you will ever find. The reason they have separate lines for democrats and republicans is so they can give equal time to both sides. Can you tell which side they are on? It's not like Fox news or CNN where you have a pretty good idea. On C-Span it's impossible to tell their views. They are totally fair to both sides. I love C-Span.
Please see my open question about C-Span.

I think, at level 2, you have seen enough of the political discussions to know that we are anything but united. It was a dream that faded into the mists when the events of this day were politicized.

Unfortunately the Dems don't have an agenda other than being elected to power. If they had a plan that was better, I'd vote for them.

Pretty unfeeling of them to run a political poll today , of course it will bring them some ratings , which is all they care about .
