I think it's a shame that this awful event has to be replayed and replayed every damn year. Of course we're going to remember! Do we need the media to glorify this tragedy and continue to open up wounds? There are people out there trying to heal!

I feel sad that in the 5 years since 9/11 we are no closer to world peace and understanding that we were before it. An attack this horrific should make the entire world pull together for the greater good. Instead we have even more hatred, discrimination and bigotry than ever before. It is not the Muslims fault or the Arabs fault cause the majority of these people are peace loving and abhor this kind of mass murder like we all do. It is the fault of people who use misinformation, hatred and ignorance to achieve their own gains at the cost of many lives, Not only those who were killed on 9/11 but also those who are still suffering, the families, the firemen who are suffering from illness related to 9/11 and the innocent people who are branded terrorists because they happen to come from the same country, be of the same religion ( a religion that preaches peace and tolerance) or be of the same race as the misguided ones who did this to our country. On this day I think we should honor the memory of all who died on 9/11, the soldiers who have died and are dying daily in Iraq and Afghanistan and the ones who are still fighting for the cause of freedom all over the world by praying for peace, tolerance, understanding and love to fill our world, our hearts and our lives.

The same way I felt yesterday and the day before that all the way up to 9/11/01. My world changed that day as did everyone elses who lives in the states. I'm sickend. not only by the attacks but in the way my people are acting. What is the point of all these flags and patriot day? I don't need them to remember what happened. I don't need constent reminders of death and tragidy. Have these attacks changed us? yes. for the better? i would like to think so but i don't.

I still feel sad by the tragedy, but I feel good that the US had taken a strong defense. I wish that we could have done this before 9/11

Still very sad . I lived 20 minutes away by train and went there hundreds of times. Sometimes, I went just to have breakfast and went back home. I knew many people working in the stores, etc. But the saddest part is that they didn't accomplished anything by doing that.

As a Muslim and Arabian I would like to share the victims families their sadness and tell them how much we were all hurt ed by that barbaric crime.
Our religion tough us how to respect others life and love all ppl whatever they r.
Who did that crime r not real Muslims, or they didn't understand the right Islam.
God bless the victims souls, and helps their families and friends.

I feel fortunate that I didn't loose anyone in the attacks but very sorry for those that did. I will keep this day on my mind as a day of morning and move on. I am flying my flag today as well.

Many emotions....
Shocked that it's been 5 years.
Sad for the families that have died, especially the children that were born that never knew their father.
Happy knowing that we are safer than we were 5 years ago.
Scared knowing that we aren't completely safe.

Not that great. Depressed over a friend of mine who's going through a hard time in her life right now. I hope you're doing well.
