I want to make a small Halloween display and have never bought hay before. On average how much does a bale cost?

I live on the MS Gulf Coast, so I'm not in a big city. I am looking for a couple of the smaller sized ones.

First I would suggest using straw. It last longer and you won't get the 'weedy' smell around your house. Which happens to attract skunks( Personal experience) LOL. Anyway, you can get straw at any horse farm or riding stable and they probably wouldn't charge you more than $2.00 CDN

Well this all depends on where in the country you live. It also depends on the size bale you want. I can tell you this if you are looking for the typical small bale, go to you local nursey. Chances are they have them, maybe a local farm store, or your local classifieds. I knwo here in the midwest, the size I am pretty sure you are wanting is only about $5. The big round ones run only about $25-$40. Happy Halloween

About 5-7 dollars depending on the kind. Straw is usually cheaper though and this is what most people use for their Halloween displays, it is about 3 bucks a bale and after you are done you can spread it on any trees or bushes that need a little winter protection.

First of all you don't want to use Hay. What you need is a bale of straw. Most Farmers will give you one bale at no cost if you ask them. If you don't know any farmers you can go to your local feed store they sell bales for 2-3.00-dollars. Happy Haunting...........

It depends on where you are and who you are buying from, a personal seller or a store, but I have sold them for 5 dollars a piece.
