My first instinct is to say yes, but then again, if the movie is about one of my favorite books or the rest of the cast or story is really interesting, I'd probably still see it since I am pretty much a movie whore.

I will say I am much less likely to see a film if Ben Afflek is in it because I think he does poor work as an actor. I am also less likely to see a film with om Cruise, mainly because he is too recognizable and overexposed and therefore difficult to suspend reality and believe him to be a Samurai or Construction Worker.

The opposite of that, I would always see anything Anne Bancroft was in. I'd say the same for Ethan Hawke, Cate Blanchett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, and a few others.

I try to avoid films with Tom Cruise (but very much appreciated Magnolia and War of the Worlds) + Tom Hanks + Gwynneth Paltrow (but appreciate Se7en) + Will Smith + Mel Gibson (except Mad Max 1) + Arnold Schwarzenegger (except Terminator 2) + Keira Knightley + BEN AFFLECK! .... I know that people say Hanks is a great actor - I simply don't like his face....

I also will not watch Mel Gibson or Tom Cruise films any longer...why should I go on supporting them on their idiotic rampages? Even though my 9 bucks may not make a difference, it makes me feel good that I didn't contribute to their lives.

My father won't watch any films with Jane Fonda in them, because of what she said during the Vietnam War.

But, to each their own -- you know?

Have a great day!

Tom Cruise and Mel Gibson.

Though for the record, I was not a fan of Mel Gibson even before he went on his Jesus kick, or before he exposed his racist tendencies.

It's not that I don't like Tom Cruise, well I actually think he is an idiot, but his films are getting boring. Same for Bruce Willis and definitely Arnold S. In the female category, Lindsay Lohen. I don't care about their escapades, opinions or religion. I go to the movies to be entertained.

For me it depends on why I don't like the actor and the role the actor is playing. I can't stand 'The Nanny's' voice and couldn't sit through a whole movoie of her talking. On the other hand I don't like Tom Cruise as a person and might enjoy a movie where he gets beat up :-)

I can't even watch Ahnold anymore. As cool as I thought the Terminator was when I was a kid.... after re-watching it again recently, I laughed til I cried. He's about the worst ahctor ever. How he successfully made SO many prefectly terrible films is completely beyond me. Even more astounding is how he got elected in Cahli-forn-ia... boy, are those people stupid!! LOL
