Thank you for all the answers for SE entrance. My site is www.morecreditcards.com . I wanted to add trade links with google and yahoo. How does this sound and how do i do this? Does anyone have any better ideas for trading links for my credit card site? Thanks again.

Please ignore the above answers - if only it were that easy...
Submitting your site to a search engine does absolutely *nothing* - unless you're happy lounging on page 10,000 of the Google or Yahoo results? I presume not! Advice like that is about 10 years out of date.
The key to gaining a good search engine ranking is gradual (and consistent) self promotion including two main elements: adding decent content to your site, and getting links to your sites.
The first element helps with your search engine ranking and keeps people coming back and talking about how great your site is to other people.
The second element helps with your search engine ranking and keeps new people discovering your site from wherever you are getting links. Links are also a far more efficient way for search engines to actually discover your site in the first place.
There is a lot more to it than this of course but this is a good beginning. Ranking sites in the search engines is an extremely competitive business and if you are in one of the more crowded markets I can tell you now that you stand no chance unless you dedicate *all* of your time to learning how to do it (as in, make it your job), or hire a professional.

A good web site needs a lot of work to make it past the ... "one more drop in the bucket" phase.

well there are many good services if you find on the web there you have to pay 100-200 and you get high traffic but if you want to do it your self try http://www.google.com/addurl
