My 3 year old likes to eat his cereal with a fork if you try and give him a spoon he has a fit and won't eat.

And it has to be his spongebob fork?

Oh wow, he just crumpled sour cream and onion chips into his cereal, now that is weird. I am eating chips and he came over and grabed a handful, crushed it into his cereal.

lmao!

no that's not weird. I've learned a lot from my kids.
like did you know it cost $200 to have G.I. Joe removed from bathroom plumbing?
that a washing machine can be single handedly destroyed by a hand full of rocks lost in bluejeans?
that a DVD players only weakness is Oreo cookies?

yes..i have learned much!

LMAO and loved every minute of it.

That is cute and not weird at all, but seriously (please don't take this as an insult) be careful about the signals you're sending him. As he gets older, that behaviour can develop into a real problem where, because he has some control, he will have a fit every time he feels he doesn't have to do something. Don't be afraid to show him who calls the shots, he'll love you for it later when he's older.

LOL - Soo - perb!

But what a waste of that wonderfully flavoured milk.

Have you tried pouring it in to a cup or something when he's done with the fork thing so he can have it separately?

Sometimes I wish my kids had never grown up.

I kinda miss all that stuff. A lot.

I think it sounds precious. It's funny to watch them with their preferences even at a young age. When my daughter was 3 sometimes she would fall asleep at the table with food in her mouth when she was real tired. These young tender years pass so quickly...enjoy them! Mine are grown now.

Vocalize your expectations and set limits.

You'll wake up one morning with that Sponge Bob fork sticking out of your abdomen.

I don't think its either. If he wants a fork, give him a fork...he's three. Thier all kinda strange at that age I suppose.
