Usually the higher the number, the colder the temp fo 5 would be colder than 1, but you should check with the manufacturer as this may not always be true.

I think the higher the number , the colder it will be .. so 5 would be colder than 1 . Good luck ! :)

my fridge 5 is colder than 1. My recommended setting for mine is 4.5.
