I still dream of my first gf many yrs later, a bit unsettling when it happens. She was important to me and I bet your ex bf was important to you to.
Perhaps with both of them in yr dreams you wish in real life that yr ex can be friends with you and yr bf, not sure that is possible.
I don't think you should feel guilty of dreaming or thinking about him, he was part of yr life and it isn't cheating you are committed to you current bf and that is that... Actually I think it is sweet of you to have thoughts about an ex partner.

Thanks for the 10 points and the awesome compliment. Hope it works out well for you

I think it is telling you that you are subconsciously nervous about entering a new relationship & still feel some loyalty towards your ex. I think you are exploring the choices you've made and aren't sure of yourself. If you were with your ex for an extended amount of time, you should fully expect to doubt yourself. If the old relationship was in any way abusive, or you were both very different, you've definately made the right decision. How does your new man make you feel?

Dreams can be a way to resolve issues at an unconscious level. Just because people are no longer in our lives does not mean that we still don't have feelings for them. Some part of you is still with your ex. Which man do you want to be with?

It's quite natural to dream about people who mean a lot to you, or used to be at least. In your dream, you could be comparing them and subconsciouly weighing them up against one another.

It doesn't have to mean anything more than that, and it's normal to sometimes wonder "what if I'd stay with him?" and so forth.

Don't let it trouble your new relationship. How strong it is depends on what you do and say and feel in real life, not what you dream about!

Okay?

I dream about ex's all the time and I don't think it means a thing. Just that something about them is in my subconscious at the moment. They go away eventually. Especially if it was a hard break up...

In a phylosophical sense, these dreams would indicate a strong desire of yours to get back with your ex. Realistically, I'd assume that you think about him a lot? In your case, I'd stop and think about which of these two people I care for most and which is more likely to be my 'kindred spirit' as they say. Just spitballing here of course!

sounds as though you may still have very serious feelings for your ex-boyfriend. You may want to explore your feelings in that regard, particularly if you are feeling insecure about your new relationship.
