Have people forgotten this is just a fun site. Have they forgotten good sportsmanship?

I have never gotten a nasty e-mail from when I asked a question but I haven't asked too many. I have gotten nasty e-mail from an answer I've given...one of the worst was for a question asking what people thought about Paris Hilton. I gave my honest answer that I think she's gotten famous for doing nothing useful and some obvious teen with nothing better to do e-mailed me and called me every name in the book. Just ignore any mean e-mails you get, knowing that you have lots of people on here who love your questions and the igorant ones will move on. If they start to harrass you and you get more than one nasty e-mail from them, report them. You shouldn't have to put up with that!

I made a suggestion that someone stay in school and learn to communicate, and to improve communication skills, too (I'm a former educator) and I was reported for Violation and insulting another participant! I thought it was a joke but... it happened! I find it soooo ridiculous, really. Isn't THAT just as absurd?

I figured that one day my answers would upset someone, so I set it up that I can't be contacted. People today are strange creatures. They firmly believe that their opinion or answer is the only one. It's so easy to get "hate mail" in this situation. I think it's stupid and I don't understand it, but it happens. I just decided to play it safe and remain "anonymous".

I never got a e-mail from someone that didn't get the 10 points.
But I have from someone that didn't like my answer.

that's why I don't allow people to e-mail me. There are too many psychos in the world, and with so many people on Y!A, SOMEONE is bound to be crazy!
