Hi..

This may sound rather "obscure", but what paper is typically used to make a chapbook for poetry?

I remember seeing some chapbooks from the 60's and the paper they used and the way they were bound really inspired me.

Thanks.

I know a woman in Northern California who makes chap books. Here is her web site, it gives some good info. There is a full page of info just about the paper.

I don't know if there is a traditional paper to use. Oftentimes, the paper selection is one of the more important decisions in chapbook printing. In a nutshell, anything goes. The printing and binding is just as much of an artistic statement as the poetry these days.

you make it any way you wish.

no limits.. the basics are 20lb paper, staples and a xerox machine...

but you can make the book any way you wish.. the more unique the better.

as long as you feel you must... i like the unique limited editions of 20 or less.
