And why do I see or read from Christian people that they don't like Catholics?

Mr. Best, how am I supposed to rethink my question when people do say that Christianity and Catholic are both different?

Whether to be a Catholic Christian or non-Catholic Christian takes a lot of soul searching (pun intended).

You have to pray about it and try to listen to where God is calling you.

Personally, it is better for me to be a Catholic.

Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are some minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

With love and prayers in Christ.

Who the Hell told you Catholics weren't Christians????? Catholics were the first Christians! A Christian is "A follower of Christ, A believer is Christ as our Savior" What you are reading are Christian Protestant Religions opinions. Protestant = Protester of the Catholic faith. Protestants are simply christians that broke away from the strict Catholic Church during Martin Luther's movement. During the Time the Roman Catholics believed that the Church (Pope) should be head of the state and view the holy Pope as the highest living individual next to God, and as we all know, that is a NO NO! The catholics eventually straightened out their act, but the Protestant faith continued to grow. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Some Protestant religions such as True Southern Baptists still hold a very strong grudge against the Roman Catholic Church due to their practices i the early centuries. I am a Catholic and was baptized into Christian Beliefs....Make sense? In all honesty I don't think there is a "better" or "right" Christian religion, it all depends on your personal belief and what you view as how to praise God or accept Christ as your Savior

It's easier to be a Christian which is a believer in Christ. A Catholic is a denomination within the Christian religion. Catholics are usually ridden with a lot of guilt. Your best bet would be Episcopalians better known as Catholic Lite (less guilt more fulfilling!)

ummm Cathoics ARE Christians , they believe in and worship Christ . I have no idea why other christians dont like catholics . Sometimes I thnk they single out certain groups within christian beliefs like Latter Day Saints (mormons) or Jehovahs witnesses. These religions are Christians too.....in fact the latter day saints have the name of Christ in the full name of their church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints)...I have no idea why certain christian religions are singled out like this , perhaps it's just ignorance on the part of the people expressing their dislike , maybe they should study these religions before blindly making statements about them...maybe if they studied the beliefs of these other religions , they would see that they are just as "Christian" and that Christ is the key figure in their relgions

Christians believe in Christ as their God, part of the Trinity.
Catholicism is one of many Churches within Christianity.

It's like like asking if it's better to be human or a man.
