Are you certain you still want an under mount sink? I had to replace a couple of those and I chose to get an over-mount sink and just drop it in the hole.
The selection of under mount sinks is small because they are such a pain in the neck to install. You will see many choices of top-mounted sinks because you just drop them in, screw them down and you're done. You may have to cut the hole bigger, but consider this idea.
Holding up a sink while you're under it, installing screws, is tough. Make a cardboard cut out and go to Lowe's or Home Depot (etc); they'll even help you.

Is the sink square or oval ? Answering your question would require knowing that. I guess all I can tell you with the information I have at hand, is to pick a sink slightly larger than the hole. Sinks come in standard sizes with other sizes available only through special order. The next standard size up from the size you've mentioned, would be a 20 x 17 oval. If it's square it will be a special order item. A top-mounted sink would be cheaper and easier to install too.

Anything over the measurment you gave should work, but keep it close.
You would want it no more than one inch larger.
Your best bet is to call a professional plumber, not Home Depot.
The guy at Home Depot most likely is not a plumber.
