there's a Malay qoute "jauh di mata, dekat di hati"
means..far at ur eyesight but near to ur heart..
so no matter what, if u love someone, no other factor will effect the feeling

I probably should get an award for my old sayings, but haven't you ever heard "absence makes the heart grow fonder"? It's better when the object of your affection lives in closer proximity so that you can see him or her on a regular basis. Sometimes, though, it's just not possible or practical, so you have to make do with what you have. If you really love someone, distance shouldn't make a difference. You can always take trips to see one another. That's one option. And of course there's the U.S. Post Office, Alexander Bell's great invention and it's modern prototype, the cell phone. And Mr Gates' brainchild, the computer. These modern-day devices have greatly enhanced communication -- a far cry from the Pony Express. So actually, you're never more than a click away from someone you love. But eventually one of you is going to make the decision to move to where the loved one is -- that is, if it's really true love and not just a passing fancy.....There's another old saying -- Mercy me, should I even mention it?? "Out of sight, out of mind"! Please don't let that ever happen to you, though.... Good luck!!

Yes .. but sometimes it apart of being a military spouse we just got through one year deployment and facing another one (rumored) next year

Its just something you do.. its not a choice its because you love this person with all your heart. When you find the right person, you will go to the ends of the earth to be together.

Personally,I don't think long distance relationships are worth it because eventually one or the other will find another much closer to home. It's not worth the headache that it eventually becomes.
