Not only have I bought my wife her "personal" items, but I've had to call her from the middle of the aisle with other people around and verify that I was getting the correct ones, with wings, without any added fragrance, and overnight.
It's baptism by fire... once the husband or father does it once, it's all routine from then on.

Well said, Wkdpixy and Bound !
I agree.
Even though he loves you much, just never ask this of him.
An illness, medical emergency or post-childbirth are of course the exceptions to the rule

Nothing wrong with that.
It will not lessen my manhood or my personality.
If I did it for someone I love, no big deal..
I believe there are still so many men out there who believes that doing chores once in a while for their wife or GF will not in anyway affect their personality,, their manhood specially.

I buy for the wife all the time, but I get them at Sams Club and then I don't have to go back so often.

My husband would. I've had some medical issues concerning my "monthly" and really have trouble going out and about during that time. He's such a sweetie that he'll go for when I can't.

My husband has bought them for me. A real man is not concerned what other people think of him. Only a fool would look at my husband buying me tampons and think he was a sissy.

They should never be asked or expected to. Women know they have their period every month and mothers know their daughters will be coming of age and they should be responsible enough to prepare in advance and not take their men for granted in such a way. It doesn't mean that the men love the women in their lives any less if they don't wish to purchase feminine products for them...It's simply something they should never be expected or requested to do.
