have cd's in a plastic 5/4 disk cases i wonder if they be ok on the cement floor in the wintertime

That will depend a lot on the atmospheric conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) and the proximity to other things (heater, TV set, etc.) than anything else - also, what is the condition of the cases themselves, and are these slimline cases or JewelBoxes, and are these factory-made or homemade CD's?
