Maybe not a detailed thought, but does it at least pass through your mind? September 11th can be seen as a turning point; before war, before death, before major terrorist threats. Living in a different world today, I can't help but think of that day that changed everything and how the events that followed put us in the position we are in today, everyday.

Yes, especially since my father is a major in the US Army. He has been sent overseas many times because of the war. I think about it everyday and how it effected not only my family, but everyone else's family as well.

No. Then again, I don't live in the U.S. and I refuse to be affected by that kind of fear. Fear, I hear, is big business, as proven by all the money-hungry corporations that profit from it. I very often think of the repercussions of the 9/11 though, such as the unvoluntary sacrifice of individual liberties for national safety, which I personally see as a huge offense. Here's a song that I find reflects all of it rather nicely (or maybe I just want to post it somewhere):

Star And Stripes

A tyrant is a man who allows his people no freedom
Who is puffed-up by pride
Driven by the lust of power
Impelled by greed
Provoked by thirst for fame

Divided and conquered
Gripped by fear
Wishful thinking that it can't happen hear
It's well underway but nobody knows
A repeat of history
That's how it goes

Tell the people that they're under attack
By man-eating foes from Mars or Iraq
Mobilize outrage
Muzzle dissent
Send in the troops
Strike the pre-empt

Stars & stripes
Learn how to fight
We come together by the dawn of the light
Oh so proudly we hail as the rockets red glare
Stars & stripes

Control the airwaves
Fuel the reaction
Use every weapon of mass-distraction
Turn active people into passive consumers
Feed 'em bogus polls and harebrained rumors

Cut back civil rights
Make no mistake
Tell 'em homeland security is now at stake
Whip up a frenzy keep 'em suspended
Don't let 'em know that their liberty's ended

Everything goes in the desperate states
The veneer of democracy rapidly fades
Wreak total havoc on all opposition
In any event fulfill your mission

Totalitarian media sensation
You will give 'em domination
Never mind they call you a liar and thief
By now you're undisputed commander-in-chief

I've thought of both September 11, 2001 and April 19,1995 everyday. (April 19th is the date of the Oklahoma City Bombing. I was and still am living in the Oklahoma City area. I remember both horrible days vividly - even though I didn't lose anyone in either attack.) But the important thing is not to let it bog you down. Refusing to continue life and the experience our freedoms is the same as giving in to the terrorists.

Even in thes tragedies, I am still proud to be an American.

I think of the people who lost their lives and the lives of loved ones that horrible day. I also think of our troops putting their lives on the line to ensure it doesn't happen again. Everyday I hear somebody spout crap about how our troops need to come home, that there is no reason for war. Let's not forget who started this crap. Islamic extremist. Not the Islamic community, but the extremist who are still threatening our home.

Yes. I say a prayer to the Creator each and every day to bless those who lost their lives and everyone who was affected by 9/11.

Somehow the world doesn't feel as safe as it used to.

Yes...I think of Sept. 11th every day. I am a flight attendant for one of the airlines who's aircraft were used as weapons of mass destruction. I think of that day every time I get on an airplane. I think about my friends and co-workers that were lost.

Honestly, No. I do not think of it every day. There are many days it will cross my mind but not every day. Yes it has made a major impact on America and how things are today.

No I don't think about it every day, I do not mean that to be disrespectful, I just don't think of it every day, in the same way I don't think of all the other terror attacks that have happened in the past years. I don't think about the tube bombings every day either, because it would mean living a life in fear every day

I don't think of it everyday, but very often. My husband and I actually just went to ground zero, and it is a very sad site. I feel differently about a lot of situations, and you never know what else will happen.
