I was on my way to a job interview. When I got there, we spent 5 minutes on the interview and ended up going to a conference room and watching the news coverage with the whole office. I spent the next three days watching news coverage. In a word, the entire event was just simply unbelievable. I still feel sad today when I think about it. I live not too far from New York, and I love to go there, and I know many people who were affected by the events of that day. As I type, I am watching the rebroadcast of the news coverage of that day on MSNBC and just remembering what it was like.

I was actually being wheeled into surgery at 8:45 am on 9/11/01 and my life has never been the same since. Just as they were putting me under I saw people running through the room, talking about a plane crash in NY. I woke up 4 hours later to discover that our country had been attacked by terrorists. It was surreal. The surgery did not work to fix my back and am now left with chronic pain and nerve damage. So, 9/11 stirs alot of feelings in me. I will pray today for our country, our government and for the families of those who lost loved ones on that day.

I was at work. I work at a federal job and we had all types of alarms going off. Flashing lights and red alert being repeated over and over. I live in chicago. They told all of us to leave the building and go home and not wait outside like a drill. The whole area was crowded with cars leaving the business disrict. When I got home I was glued to the TV. It was so unreal. Five years later i think they need to let the souls of the people rest in peace and stop reliving and showing the destruction to their families who are probably still hurting today. I refused to watch that movie on TV yesterday. I think it would be too hard to watch. I'm not doing anything special today. I was a little apprehensive about coming to work though. I always am on he anniversary, but I came anyway.

I was in 4th grade, and I was in math class at my elementry school. The day was a normal day: My teachers lecturing, the recess activities, and everything. We hadnt recieved any information. So then, on the school bus home, me and my friend overheard some talking, but we didnt know what was happening. Then, at home, I learned the news: The planes crashed into the twin towers and the pentagon. At first, me being an idiot 9 year old, wondered what the big deal was if no one died. I was badly scolded and told over 1100 people died in the tower. then, 180 people died in the pentagon. Thats when I realized it was of serious importance.

I was at work. We were called out of the kitchen to watch the t.v.
It was horrible. Everyone cried. There was so much emotion, shock, disbelief. We closed down right after that for the day. They sent us home to be with our families . Then waiting to see if anything else was going to happen. The uncertainty. Wondering if this was just the beginning or if there would be more attacks. Watching in horror the aftermath, the sheer devastation. Five years later I fell just as horrified. This happened too easily.

I was on my way to work and I was the arch in St Louis, and there was talk of a plane hitting there also. My day was crazy, but mostly just sat back in disbelief. How can people be so cruel? We have recorded several shows about this event and plan on watching them today.

My 5 yr old was mad cuz there was the same thing on each channel. I turned to look and watched the second plane hit the tower. The day got worse from there. For everyone.

Remember Flight 93. They were heros.

I was in bed sleeping and then got up turned on the tv, and then went to work. It isn't an issue in my life. I didn't know any of those people and I'm sure they weren't all saints anyway. Today I washed and am going to work, just another day. Tomorrow is more special, I'lm going shopping for eyeshadow.
