This day will always be with each and everyone of us as the day the United States was invaded by another country. Just like we had other events in our lives dating way back we learn it in history class or live it. This is one day that will go in the history book.
If you didn't know of anyone, someone didn't come from your town and move there to New York or Washington DC then you may not relate to the lost of lives but you will never forget the towers falling and Manhatten never being the same. Maybe after the memorial and other buildings will replace the "hole" that is there now. Just remember the "hole" in the hearts of all the relatives that lost their love one just going or being at work.

Of course I remember! How could anyone forget??! Even though I don't know anyone personally who was a victim, I will always remember the day in class when the principal came on the PA and told us the tragic news. I remember how most of my classes were half empty for the rest of the day, with parents thinking that their kids would be safer at home or maybe just wanting to be together. I am wearing a patriotic shirt today, because I am loyal to my country. There may be several things that are not right yet here, but still, my home is America, and I love my home.

I think we will all remember it somehow. First of all we all forget that that day also brought Americans together. We became Americans first, not Republicans or Democrats. We "united" as one. If we stayed on that track we would show our strength. However time goes by and years from now it will be a faint reminder. I wish that somehow instead of just remembering those lost we also remembered those who were brave enough to stop United 93 from completing it's attack. It is a great tragedy to lose so many lives, however once those who were passengers on a high-jacked plane learned about the other attacks they tried to stop it. I think Sept 11 should be a national holiday to celebrate our patriotism. We should not be afraid to party in the streets and show how we are proud to be free Americans. For one day a year it would be nice to set aside political beliefs and be Americans.Where I live the schools get off for Battle of the Flowers not veterans day.In fact one year they were going to make them go to school Memorial day (the same year the war started). Are we really that ashamed of our own country? I just think we need more patriotism. It will be harder for terroists to affect a "united" country than a divided one.

I will remember how a city came to the aid of others risking their own lives. I will remember the unity that brought these people together at the time of this horrific attack. I will pray for those who were lost and those who were saved. I will pray for the families who are reminded of this every year. I will pray for the troops that are still fighting for our freedom. Most of all I will pray that this senseless war ends soon.

Yes. I watched the specials they had on T.V. I read the articles about what happened. It is a very tragic thing and my heart goes out to all those who lost their lives and also those still living or have family living today. I will remember the unsecure feeling it has left me with.

Yes,in fact I'll never forget that day. It was shocking to see our country being attacked. Today, I will watch some of the memorials on tv and will pray for those who were murdered and their families. I will also pray that our country will be protected from future attacks & that our government will make the right decisions.

I saw it on the news as I got ready for work. I woke up my husband and told him to watch what was going on. I got the chills watching it. At work, we watched everything else unfold before our eyes......I went home sick that day......seeing those people leap to their deaths has to be the most incredible thing anyone could have witnessed.

I don't think I'll ever forget it. It's on the same intensity level as the JFK assassination or men walking on the moon.

I'll just be quiet and think on it.
