I would not suggest it because Betta (expectaly males) are aggressive fish.

You should only put goldfish with goldfish. They produce a lot of ammonia that will kill other fish. Betta's can be kept with other tropical fish like Mollies, Plates and Sword Tails if the tank is big enough. Male Betta's are aggressive to other Male Betta's. Most fish will move away from a flaring Male Betta.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
Goldfish are coldwater fish, have different dietary preferences, and excrete alot of ammonia that tropical fish cannot handle.

Bettas are warmwater fish, and cannot handle the amount of ammonia the goldfish excrete.

Bettas are only aggressive to other bettas and fish that resemble bettas.

The rule for baby-juvenile fancy goldfish is 10 gallons PER fish and the rule for baby-juvenile long bodied goldfish is 20 gallons PER fish. Adults NEED atleast 50 gallons per fish because they grow 12-14 inches. THEY DO NOT GROW TO THE SIZE OF THE TANK, thats just a retarded myth.

YES!!!...Believe it or not you can. Everyone thinks bettas are soooo agressive and really they are not! ( unless its 2 male bettas ) RIGHT NOW I have a betta in with a male and female goldfish. He doesnt try to fight with them at all, and he's been in there for about 4-5 months or even longer now. It is possible, and i know by my own personal experience.

that only depends on the type of goldfish you have......if they're the fancy long finned type,,,,,NO. but regular goldfish,,yes. its not the color that attracts bettas to fight the other bettas but when one sees the fins puffed out and waving or floating ,,,that is what makes one betta fight another.

No,because the "Beta" species of fish (especially the male) are fighters, and very territorial. They will fight, and eventually kill the "Carp" (Goldfish)

NO! Betas are supposed to be kept separate from all fish because they are agressive, and another name for them is "Japanese fighter fish." When you go to the pet shop to buy one, they will tell you the same thing.
