I replaced my Robertshaw with a Honeywell Pro-8000 in the house and want to put the Robetshaw in the garage to replace the old round mercury Honeywell one. I need to know to install the wires to the Robertshaw. It is only heating, no A/C

Red wire to the R terminal, white to the W terminal. Only a 24 volt system, but unplug the furnace before wiring to prevent damage to t-stat.

If it is heating only then you only need to connect the "R" or "Rh"and "W" to activate the heat. Some fan issues may arise in some special applications, but this is the exception not the rule.
