There are so many combinations of UK airport and Spanish airport, and so many airlines to research that you could spend a fortnight's holiday on the internet trying to book to go away!
Before we came to live out here, we have paid as little as 99p for a ticket (+taxes etc) as sometimes found it cheaper to book a package holiday and just use the flights without going near the hotel!
I have, however, often noticed that flights are cheap on any Friday 13th!

book well enough in advance, and tues, wed or thurs generally.
the closer you are to your departure date the more expensive it will be.

i use easy jet most of th time..u can get v cheap flights..on mond, tues and thus
