I'm sorry, I'm really new to this. It is a multiple choice question and my answers are 2,1, and 30

The way they asked that I am not positive, but I would say 2.

What I see is you get 2046 host per subnet with 32 subnets. 0 would be 150.100.0.1 - 150.100.7.254, 1=150.100.8.1 - 150.100.15.254 and 2=150.100.16.1 - 150.100.23.254 so it would fall in that range.

There is a subnet calculator here:http://www.subnet-calculator.com/subnet.php?net_class=B

in a subnet mask of 255.255.248.0, you have 32 numbers of subnet, 30 usable subnets....2,048 hosts (2,046 usable)...

thus if the answers are 2, 1, & 30.... remember your ip addy is 150.100.0.0 is unusable(network), the message for 150.100.18.3 will surely fall for subnet 2....

150.100.18.0

Oops! Sorry, not paying attention! My bad! With a netmask of 255.255.248.0, your networks would be:

150.100.0.0 - 150.100.7.255
150.100.8.0 - 150.100.15.255
150.100.16.0 - 150.100.23.255
etc.

Therefore, a message addressed to 150.100.18.3 would go to network 150.100.16.0

Here's a link to a great subnet calculator: http://www.solarwinds.net/Tools/Free_tools/Subnet_Calc/index.htm

You can verify what I've posted with that.
