I don't know what a ferrit is, but a ferret is about £10.00 in the UK. Find out about how to look after them before you aquire one.

If you might want a ferret, check out your local shelters. You can do an online search at www.petfinder.com .They are considerably more work than a dog, so please make your decision wisely and with the proper research. They need 4 hours a day of playtime a day if not more. They also get into EVERYTHING so you will need to ferret-proof your home. They have a natural odor to them and if you dont like it , you shouldnt get one. Here is a link to one of my local ferret shelters (I got all mine here) they have a ton of helpful information about ferrets and what they need:

More important than how much they cost is how much it costs to maintain a healthy ferret. They need yearly vaccinations for Distemper and Rabies..a standard vet visit for that is around $100, provided they are otherwise healthy. In a year, I spend about $1200 for each of them.

They are a superfun pet but they are very high maintainence

They are between $100 and $200 in petstores but that just the price of the FERRET. Then figure you'll spend at least $300 on a cage and supplies. Next you have to have a vet checkup and get booster shots. And finally you need funds for food, litter, etc...plus at least $500 saved for emergency vet bills. Ferrets are prone to a variety of diseases, namely adrenal gland disease and insulinoma. Plus they get in a ton of trouble and can rack up vet bills that way. Ferrets are NOT cheap pets and you better be prepared to invest a lot of money and times. They need at least 4 hours of out of cage playtime in a ferret proofed room daily.

It is spelled- Ferret. Ferrets start out at $ 169.99 and up. With a cage and everything you need you are looking at around 400.00.

about $100.00 in the states. This includes descenting, spay or neut. and shots. This does not include the $200.00 you are about to spend on its cage and equiptment.

Good Luck
