actually they can...young bats just learning to fly cannot always maneuver well, and if foraging near water, can sometimes fall in, in which case they swim. They don't just go for a swim for the heck of it, but they can swim to save themselves.

I would say no. I have seen footage of bats floundering around in the water. Their wings become a hindrance and their back legs are of no use in the water.

That depends on the situation under which they are.they can swim if they wish to save their lives.
