With Ashley and Reyes out, Arsenal have been weakened on the left hand side. This will have an effect on their attacking strength. However, defensively, even though Clichy is out, Gallas will be able to do more than a competent job, as he has been playing admirably for Chelsea in that position. The main effect of less firepower down the left is that it has considerably weakened one of the supply lines to Henry, and that is showing in their results.

Clichy and Hleb or even Flamini should be ok as replacements.
