I don't know what the problem is with my car, but it got stuck in the mud and while it was in the mud it starting to sound different. When I start it has a louder sound. Could be the exaust, but it sounds like its coming from the front of the hood. When I hit the gas, it sounds like it's working harder, but it shifts fine. Does anyone know what the problem may be?

sounds like the exhaust to me ..
or if its coming from the hood .. try checking to see if anything is leaking ..

May have got mud in lots of places. Just look around the fan belt, air cleaner, exhaust, etc...

well if it at all sounds like a tick or a knock you may have blown the motor up....sorry to hear that...but that is what it sounds like to me ...needs new motor..how deep was this mud...check air filter system as well but i doubt the problem is there
