I was a freshman in college then and I was standing in the middle of the lobby watching tv with about 200 other students. We were all crying and hugging each other. People who had never met or talked to each other before were chatting like they were best friends.

I was watching the news, getting ready to attend a conference in Houston when I saw the second plane crash. My life changed that day forever.

What crashes are you referring to?If you are referring to 9/11,I was 22 at the time.

I was sitting at work and heard it on the radio and nearly fell out of my seat. I then went to turn on the tv. We didn't work anymore that day. We sat in front of the tv in shock. That tragedy was something that still hurts me. I still can't watch the video of it, I can't view any footage on it. It puts a pain in the pit of my stomach. I had recently been there and to see them gone was a big deal to me.

Do you remember America before we fell into self pity over ONE DAY? Once we were strong and powerful ... now we've built a hollow life around one day for 5 years now. Point is, where the hell are we today.

the images of the World Trade Centre collapse is still fresh in my mind. i watched it thru CNN news at that time.
today is the 5th anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks.

I was walking my daughter to her bus stop.... she was in first grade at the time on the way back people started running out of their houses screaming about it....
