My son is a driving instructor , there are 13 possible questions relating to raod safety regarding your vehicle. e.g. Tyres lights brakes etc in the engine you will be asked how to check engine oil , brake fluid , coolant, and windscreen washer fluid. Drive at a safe speed for the conditions within the speed limits, you can fail if you drive too slowly or too fast, but you will be expected to drive at the speed limit if it is safe to do so.

I don't believe there will be any questions about the engine, as long as you get it started. Don't forget to check your mirror, and watch for the orange cones. My friend failed because of that. Try to go at lunch time so the instructor will want to stop for that, and want to pass you on through. Kick the tires, before you get in. Don't know why. Seen guys do it. May be for good luck. Don't do the California Stop. Where you pause at a stop sign, and roll through. That's how I failed the first time. Don't forget to smile for your picture. Now go! You've got the green!

Have you taken the written part yet? If you have then be careful with your parallel parking, take your time, go in reverse slowly (you're not being timed on time). Put your signal light towards the parking space. When the front of your car reaches the back of the car or cone in front of you straighten out your tires. Don't go over the speed limit (normally go 25 to 30 miles an hour in residential zones). Keep it 5 miles under speed limit. They can get you for even 2 miles over.

I didn't get asked anything like that..
All you gotta do is slightly over-do everything, like making sure you're checking your mirrors so that the instructor sees.
My test went horrendously, I know nothing about cars and I passed with 6 minors. You'll be fine!

it could be two of many, i think its two anyhow, but dont be too worried, they will be questions like "how do you change a tyre?" or "where do you top up the windscreen washer fluid bottle?" just keep your wits about and think about it befor eyou answer and im sure you'll be fine, it wouldnt harm you to get a pal to show you around their car, just to point out things like break fluid, water/oil, steering fluid etc, they are pretty recognisable once you know what you're looking for :-)

they dont ask you questions about the engine. they ask you questions about driving. Like what lanes to drive in if your turning, how far to stay away from a school bus, how close your supposed to stop behind other cars, the signs, stuff like that....
here's a couple links to help you study the questions.
Good luck with your test!!!
