I have new shoes, man-made materials and they squeak when I walk in them.

Try scuffing the rubber soles of the shoes on some sandpaper, or on the grip-tape of a skateboard. If the shoes surface is really smooth, you'll get that squeaky rubbery sound. You might also try going for a jog with them on pavement.

Does your shoe have a sort of gel air bubble form of issues on the shoe ? thats whats inflicting the squeaking. the two pop the bubble or wait till it pops itself or wears down so it wont squeak

I step on chalk powder, but I remember using some powdery substance to make my ballet shoes not slippery and/or squeky. Forgot the name though.

if its your feet making the noise, wear socks. If it's the shoes make sure the soles of your shoes are dry.

My shoes always squeeked, too. My collegues told me that squeeky shoes meant that you haven't paid for them. Well, I got mine on sale, so they should have only squeeked half the time...
