I don't know where you live so the only advice I can give is for you to check with your local Health Department. Where I live there is a number we can call to get all sort of useful information and help - 211. Maybe a little more info from you would yeild a better response to your need.
Yes, yummymummy is correct, I forgot about that one. She also reminded me of Goodwill Industries, they donate cars too.

try the salvation army, sometimes they will donate cars to needy families. Good luck. Hop your baby gets better!!

The REd Cross will help you out also. They can & will get you a vehicle at no charge.
