I've got a 100" Revtech motor purchased early 2005. It has run hot from day 1. The timming is set. it's jetted properly(rich if anything) added oil cooler and running 60wt oil. The ***** still runs 225-250 oil temp under typical riding conditions. We recently spoke with a Harley engine builder we know who told us many Revtech engines have a breather/oiling problem that Revtech is aware of. They have not recalled the motors ( but rather call the repair " an upgrade) Its a modification to the breather passages.HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM in other motors and do you know of any service bulletins?

225-250 for a oil temp is not bad, the reason it is bad for a water temp. is that water/coolant will start to boil and then leave air pockets which cant remove any heat. There are aftermarket coolants that allow you to run coolant temp's into the 260 range with no problems.
