Folic acid is in prenatal vitamins. It is recommended to take them 3-4 months before trying to conceive to build up folic acid levels in your body because when a baby is conceived within the first few weeks (Before most women know they are pregnant) the spinal cord is develped and this helps prevent Neural tube defects such as Spina Bifida. Metformin is a oral diabetes drug that is used to help women that have PCOS regulate their ovulation so they can become pregnant.

Metformin is commonly used to treat diabetes II. However, it is also used in treament of polycystic ovarian syndrome. Folic acid is a very important B vitamin. It is needed by all women, but especially by pregnant women. It helps build healthy new cells in the mother and the child.

Metformin is a drug used in diabetics or pre-diabetics to help the body better use insulin. As for folic acid, I don't really know that one, sorry.

metformin is a oral medication used to treat mild diabetes...maybe for gestational diabetes in a women??

folic acid would most likely be used to treat amemia in an otherwise healthy woman (can be used for other stuff like dialysis or liver disease), and can prevent some spinal cord birth defect in infants.

Not sure of the 1st one but folic acid is very good for the fetus.
