Like a said, bad for over a week now and i've tried over the counter lamisal AT cream, but that only stops the itching for a couple of hours. It's not actually getting rid of the itching and burning. What can I do to make this go away?

The Lamisil is good stuff. Keep applying it. Get the powder also. I use it daily to absorb the sweat in the groin area. Works for me!!

Wash & rinse everyday and dry with a hair dryer. Dampness is a big problem that makes it last longer.

Try a powder, it absorbs the natural moisture the body puts off. I mean a jock itch powder this will assist with the itching.

Or see your Dr. and get a prescription of Clotrimazole and Betamethosone Dipropionate cream. This is resolving my Husbands.

I swear that I am not making this up. You're going to laugh. But - honey. No kidding. If you put it on a bandage and apply it to the area, then cover it up with something so it won't soak through and stick to your clothes, it will take care of jock itch. It has very strong antifungal and antibacterial properties. If you don't believe me, you can do a search for "honey wound care" or something similar.

It might be an irritation rash. If you wear briefs try switching to a boxer or looser fitting underwear to allow for air circulation. If itching persists more I'd recommend seeing a doctor just to be sure. They can prescribe a topical steriod that will work much better than any OTC medication.

Make sure you don't have crab lice. Anti-fungal sprays won't do a thing for that itching!

Wear white underwear for a few days, and you'll see the little critters in there. Nasty!

Vinegar or mix bleach with water 1part to 3 parts and wash the infected area twice a day. They also say urine will cure it, but I would try the other two first.

Good old fashion Corn Starch did the trick when I was a kid long before all the expensive sprays and stuff they have today.
